We Are Proud To Announce Lansing USD469's Re-Accreditation from the State of Kansas!
We are thrilled to announce that our district has achieved re-accreditation from the state of Kansas! This honor is a significant achievement for our schools, teachers, students, and community, and we would like to thank everyone who contributed to this success.
The accreditation process is a rigorous evaluation of our schools' performance through a five-year KESA cycle. It is a testament to our staff and students' hard work and dedication that we have achieved this honor.
At the beginning of the accreditation process, the state required each district to assemble an Outside Visitation Team (OVT) to monitor and give feedback on our efforts toward becoming re-accredited. This team was made up of the following highly-qualified individuals:
- Beth Clevenna-Dean - Education Systems Improvement Facilitator for WestED
- Emily Journot - Early Childhood State Trainer for Kansas
- Christina Compton - Head Principal of Junction Elementary in Turner USD 202
The OVT visited twice a year with the District Leadership Team (DLT) for the last five years to provide feedback, resources, and guidance to help us improve as a system and reach our goals. The DLT has worked tirelessly to improve our district, even attending board meetings and work sessions outside of contract hours to highlight the achievements of our staff and students.
A tremendous thank you goes to our DLT members:
- Dan Wessel
- Miles Azzeh
- Ascendra Donald
- Alan Penrose
- Brooks Jenkins
- Martin Altieri
- Jennifer Kolb
- Becca Dalton
- Caroline Reynolds
- Jennifer Nickelson
- Jake Hanson
- Christina Hoverson

Our district has consistently strived to provide high-quality education to all our students, and this re-accreditation validates our efforts. We are committed to improving and enhancing our educational programs and will use this achievement as a springboard to reach even greater heights.
We are proud of our schools and the students who attend them, and we look forward to continuing to provide the best possible education to our community.
Thank you again for your support, and we look forward to a bright future for our district.
