![]() Jeff Bollin, President

Mr. Bollin is in his second year on the Lansing School Board - his four-year term began during the January 10, 2022 board meeting. He is a lifelong resident of Leavenworth County; however, he and his family just moved into the Lansing School District three years ago. Mr. Bollin's wife, Amber, is a Lansing graduate currently employed at the Lansing District Office. They have two children, both attending Lansing Middle School. Mr. Bollin graduated from Pleasant Ridge in 2000 and then attended North Central Kansas Technical College (NCKTC), where he graduated in 2001. He has worked in heavy highway construction for the last 20 years as a union operator and the last seven years as a Project Superintendent. He was a member of the Kickapoo Township Volunteer Fire Dept. for 18 years and served as department treasurer for ten years. "I am serving on the board to make the Lansing students the number one priority, and I want to help make Lansing the district that everyone looks up to." |

Mrs. Cawvey was elected in November 2021 and took office in January 2022. Her family moved to Lansing in January 2016 after her husband of 31 years retired from the Air Force. They have two adult children, a 16-year-old daughter who is a junior at Lansing High School, and a grandson. Traveling from assignment to assignment, she has valued the opportunities presented for community involvement. She served twice as president and once as vice president for the Parent Teacher Organization and was an elementary school substitute teacher at her children's schools. She has been a Boy Scout and Girl Scout troop leader, soccer and softball coach, and a volunteer sailing instructor in the community. "I ran for the school board to be a voice for the community. In any decision, I pledge fiscal responsibility and to vote in the best interest of taxpayers, school staff, parents, and, most importantly, students." |

Michelle McQuillan

Mrs. McQuillan has been on the Lansing School Board for seven years. She moved to Lansing School District with her family from the Leavenworth Schools in 1978 and graduated from Lansing High School in 1986. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Business from Saint Mary's College, along with her Teaching Certificate in 1994 and Master's in Education in 2008. She retired from the US Army Reserve in 2011 as a Master Sergeant E8 with 24 years and worked as a contractor for various companies as a Military Instructor at CGSC from 2004-2017. Currently, she works with her husband at their company, which they have owned since 2011. Her husband, Mark McQuillan, graduated from Lansing High School in 1985. They have five sons who all graduated or will graduate from Lansing and are proud grandparents of four grandsons.

Mr. Robinson was born and raised in Bellingham, Massachusetts. As a high school student, the State Board of Education selected him to be the student delegate to the 1982 Massachusetts State Board of Education, which started his experience in education. He spent 23 years in the United States Air Force. In 2004, after retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Robinson moved to the Lansing area to accept a position as an Army Special Security Officer at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This year will mark his 40th year of service to the United States of America.

Carla Wiegers

Carla Wiegers was elected to serve a two-year term in January 2022. Mrs. Wiegers grew up in Bethalto, Illinois, just on the east side of the Mississippi River near St Louis. After high school, she earned a Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship and attended Illinois State University, where she was commissioned as an Army second lieutenant, then set out to serve her country and see the world. Mrs. Wiegers holds a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in History. She served as an Army officer for 30 years, serving both active and in the reserves as a signal officer. She is currently a military contractor who supports soldiers in collective training simulation exercises to improve their decision-making skills in mission performance, resource utilization and collaboration across many leadership levels. Mrs. Wiegers is also a substitute teacher for several area school districts. She and her husband, Steve, moved to the Lansing area in 2005 when their two daughters were starting their school years. She has been a Girl Scout leader for over 16 years, is a current Church Council Chair at Leavenworth First United Methodist, and previously served on the boards of the River City Community Players, Lansing Library, and Friends of the Frontier Army Museum. For Lansing USD 469, she has served on building site councils for twelve years, has been a room parent, and LHS Cross Country, Swim, Music, Speech & Debate parent. Mary Wood is in her second year serving on the Lansing USD469 Board of Education. She is a lifelong Lansing, Kansas resident. She attended first grade at Nine Mile School in rural Lansing (Leavenworth County) and second through 12th grades in Lansing USD 469. She worked for The Sisters of Charity from the time she was in the 8th grade until she graduated from Lansing High School in 1976. Mrs. Wood attended Kansas City Community College and then started her career in the orthodontic field, working for the orthodontic group of Drs. Radke, Hoffman, and Fry. She continued to work there for the next 42 years and is now retired. She enjoys spending my time traveling, gardening, spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Wood was married to Greg Wood for 19 years, who is now deceased. She has one daughter, Natalie Wood, who also attended the Lansing school district from kindergarten through 12th grade. Natalie graduated from Lansing High School in 2018. "I was very involved in community services and fundraising for K-12 in Lansing since 2005. I wanted to continue serving our community and felt the Lansing School Board was a great opportunity to do so. I am excited and looking forward to serving my community as a board member!" |

Aaron Yoakam

Aaron Yoakam was elected to the Lansing USD469 Board of Education in 2019 and previously served as President of the Board. Although he has only served on the board for two years, Mr. Yoakam said that it feels like ten with the pandemic. He grew up in Lansing and attended the Lansing School District from kindergarten through twelfth grade. He attended Pittsburg State University, moved back to the Lansing area after college, and is currently working as the Director of Building and Grounds for Leavenworth County. Mr. Yoakam is married to Felicia Yoakam, who used to teach in the Lansing School District. They have two sons and a daughter. Mr. Yoakam has spent countless hours volunteering in our community. In addition to serving on the Lansing USD 469 School Board, he has been a youth wrestling coach, youth baseball coach, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and serves on the Consolidated Water District #1 Board of Directors. "My initial reason for running for the school board was to expand the CTE programs and to support Lansing’s growth in education as the continuous change in expectations from the State and Federal government make education difficult for our staff." |
