Lansing USD469 is committed to providing a safe and nondiscriminatory environment for all students, employees, and visitors. As part of this commitment, we comply with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity) discrimination in any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.
Title IX Coordinator
Our district has designated a Title IX Coordinator to oversee and ensure compliance with Title IX. The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for receiving and investigating complaints of sex discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, as well as providing support and resources to those affected.

Prohibited Conduct
Under Title IX, sex discrimination includes any conduct that denies or limits a person's ability to participate in or benefit from an education program or activity on the basis of sex. This includes, but is not limited to, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. Any such conduct is strictly prohibited in our district.
Reporting and Complaint Procedures
Anyone who believes they have been subjected to sex discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, or who has knowledge of such conduct, is encouraged to report it to the Title IX Coordinator. Complaints can be made in person, by phone, by email, or through the online reporting system on the link below. Complaints can also be made to any school employee, who is required to report it to the Title IX Coordinator.

Title IX Training Materials
The US Department of Education released regulations which took effect on August 14, 2020 regarding Title IX training. The new regulations require robust training of Lansing USD 469's Title IX Coordinators. The regulations state that the training materials be made publicly available on the district's website.
