Celebrating Our Unsung Heroes on Transportation Department Appreciation Day
When we think of our school district, we often think of our teachers, administrators, and staff members who work directly with students. However, there is a group of dedicated individuals who often go unnoticed but play a critical role in ensuring that our students arrive safely to and from school each day - our bus drivers.
On Transportation Department Appreciation Day, we recognize and thank the hardworking men and women who drive our buses and transport our students to and from school. Their dedication, commitment, and professionalism are truly remarkable.
This year, the students and staff in the Early Childhood Building showed their appreciation by creating gift bags for our bus drivers and monitors and displaying "Thank You" signs outside of the school. In addition, the district provided a gift bag to each bus driver to show our appreciation. These gift bags are a small token of our gratitude, but they represent our immense respect and admiration for our Transportation Department.
Our bus drivers are responsible for transporting our students safely to and from school, navigating traffic and road conditions, and ensuring that each student arrives at their destination on time. They play a critical role in our students' lives, and we are grateful for their service.
Today and every day, we thank our Transportation Department for their service, commitment, and unwavering dedication to our students and school community.
