The Board of Education discussed/voted on the following items during our regular Board of Education meeting on Monday, July 11, 2022:
- Superintendent Dan Wessel gave an update on the Strategic Plan Planning Process. A representative from Greenbush will be giving an update during the August Board of Education meeting. - Superintendent Dan Wessel shared district financial information.

The board voted and approved Amy Cawvey as the KASB Delegate Assembly Rep.

Superintendent Wessel presented Revenue Neutral Rate Information. Click here for information from Janet Klasinski, County Clerk. The board voted and approved informing Leavenworth County that we could possibly raise the Revenue Neutral Rate this school year.

The board voted and approved holding the Budget and Policy Work Session on Monday, July 18th from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.

The board voted and approved to set the date for our Budget Hearing on Monday, September 12th at 6:00 pm.

The board reviewed the following handbooks that will be voted on during the August meeting:

Superintendent Wessel gave an overview of our Enterprise Fleet Management.

Superintendent Wessel discussed hiring a company to take an inventory of all items in our district versus having current staff do it.

The board voted and approved opening out of district non-residents for kindergarteners and their siblings and hiring one full-time substitute teacher that could step in as a kindergarten teacher to keep class sizes down.

Superintendent Wessel discussed the KNEA Mentor Teacher Training and Certified Mentoring Program in USD469.

Superintendent Wessel presented on the Mammoth-Proposal for Field Turf.

Board Member Carla Wiegers presented on board policy. The board voted and approved June 2022 KASB Board Policies Updates.

The board voted on and approved the following handbooks:

Superintendent Wessel gave an update on the HVAC in Lansing Intermediate School.

Superintendent Wessel gave an update on the tennis courts at the high school.

Superintendent Wessel gave a Title IX Update and training. Mechelle Settles will be our Title IX Coordinator.

Superintendent Wessel gave an update on Kauffman Grant - Lansing USD469 is ineligible due to our location outside of the KC Metro area.

Superintendent Wessel gave an update on Senior Capstone Projects.
