The Board of Education discussed/voted on the following items during our regular Board of Education meeting on Monday, August 8, 2022:
Public Presentations
- Chris Aus presented on behalf of Lansing Educational Foundation.
- Greg Vahrenberg presented the USD469 Mill Levy and Financing Analysis.
- Samuel Shelton presented the Auto Fleet Proposal.
- Suzanne Phillips and Meghan Anderson presented Project the Lead Way Curriculum.
- Bart Swartz from Greenbush gave an update on the Strategic Plan Planning Process.
- The second date was changed to January 4, 2023.

The board discussed academic performance and the 469 Lansing State Assessment Review for Budget Considerations

Superintendent Wessel presented the 2022-23 Professional Development Schedule.

The board discussed the DJFA Purchasing Authority and made no change to the current policy that authorizes the superintendent to execute contracts on behalf of the district for purchase of goods and services if the amount is less than $20,000.

The board discussed the Use of School Facilities and Equipment policy.

The board voted and approved setting the date for the Policy Review work session to January 22, 2023 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

The board voted and approved the Kansas MTSS and Data Release Agreement.

The board voted and approved Block Scheduling Agreement for physical therapy services.

The board voted and approved the Updated Early Childhood/Itinerant Certified & Contracted Special education Staff Handbook and Substitute Teacher Handbook.
