The Board of Education discussed/voted on the following items during our regular Board of Education meeting on Monday, November 14, 2022:
Call to Order and Roll Call
- Recognition of Stand-out Students and Staff - 10:50
- Congratulations to Austin Davis, Rebecca Davis, Miles Azzeh, and Sharon Burns
Approval of Consent Agenda - 21:30
- The board voted and approved moving Early Graduation Requests to Executive Session.
- The board voted and approved the consent agenda items as amended.
Public Presentations - 26:15
- There were three individuals who spoke during Public Presentations
- The board voted and approved allowing them additional time to speak.

Appoint Negotiations Representatives - 1:50:10)

The board voted and approved appointing Mary Wood, Amy Cawvey, and Michelle McQuillan as the Negotiations Representatives

The board voted and approved sending the curriculum challenge to a review committee of administrators, teachers, community members, and students.

Board Policy - IF textbooks, instructional materials, and media centers - 2:14:41

The board discussed shortening the timeline to 10-15 business days. They will discuss at the December board meeting once the curriculum challenge has been reviewed by the committee.

Facilities Committee - 2:25:26

The board voted and approved appointing Jeff Bollin and Aaron Yoakam on the Facilities Committee.

- Superintendent Wessel is working with staff to get the list of clubs updated and will bring to the December board meeting for a vote.
- HVAC Update - 2:36:50
- Superintendent Wessel gave an update on the HVAC at LIS.
