May is Mental Health Month!
May has been observed as Mental Health Month since 1949 to spread the word that mental health is something everyone should be aware of and care about. According to Mental Health America, "mental health refers to our emotional and social well-being and impacts how we think, feel, and behave. It plays a role in connecting with others, making decisions, handling stress, and many other aspects of daily life. Everyone has mental health, and it deserves our attention just as much as our physical health."
Lansing USD 469 has an exceptional Mental Health Team comprised of social workers, counselors, and psychologists to help our students and staff. We encourage our Lansing USD469 family to visit their website for resources.
