Congratulations to newly appointed Lansing USD 469 School Board President Mr. John Dalbey, Sr. and Vice-President Mr. John Hattok
Lansing USD 469 School Board selected a new President and Vice-President during their regular board meeting on Monday, July 13. In a 5 - 2 vote, Mr. John Dalbey, Sr. was selected as the new President, and Mr. John Hattok was selected as the new Vice-President. Both Dalbey and Hattok were elected to the Lansing USD 469 School Board in November 2017, and began serving on the board January 2018.
Mr. Dalbey has lived in the Leavenworth / Lansing area since April of 2011 and has five children and two grandchildren. He holds a Masters Degree in Management and has been a dedicated volunteer for the students in Lansing for the past nine years, serving as the primary planner for all three years of the LHS Homecoming Extravaganza, leader of of the Homecoming Parade, and "team dad" for LHS baseball.
Mr. Hattok is a lifelong Leavenworth County resident and all three of his children attended and graduated from the Lansing School District. Besides serving as a valued member of the Lansing USD 469 School Board, Mr. Hattok has served on the Leavenworth Planning and Zoning Board and is currently a Professor of Auto Technology at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
