Lansing High School KAYS Holds Spring Blood Drive
Lansing High School's Kansas Association of Youth (KAYs) students held their second blood drive this school year on Monday, March 11, 2022. Led by junior Emma Miller and with the assistance of students Carli Burchyett and CJ Yedlinsky, the blood drive was a tremendous success with the following results:
- Goal: 50 units of blood
- Registered: 39 donors
- Donor Flow (how many each hour): 7, 8, 8, 7, 9
- First Time Donors: 13
- Deferrals: 9
- Alyx (double red cells): 2 donors, 4 units
- Total Units Collected: 32
With 32 units collected, as many as 96 patients will receive the blood they need!
