Middle School Students Represent Lansing Well in Leavenworth County Spelling Bee!
Lansing Middle School was once again well-represented in the Leavenworth County Spelling Bee. This year's participants were Christian (CJ) Yedlinsky, Jadyn Bollin, and Kaitlyn Roy. All three did incredibly well with CJ placing second and Jadyn placing third. Jadyn was tied for third place and had to participate in a spell off to earn her third place title.
"All participants this year did an online version of the spelling bee," said Lansing Middle School Spelling Bee Sponsor, Rachel Sheeley. "We used the same online version for our grade level spell offs that was provided by Scripps Spelling Bee."
Miss Sheeley said there were approximately 25 students who participated in the grade level bees at the middle school this year. The first place winners from each grade level went on to represent Lansing at the county level. Here is a complete list of this year's winners from Lansing Middle School:
