8th Graders Explore Math Through Creative Castle Building
Our Lansing Middle School 8th-grade Math 2 students recently learned about volume calculation by constructing unique castles. Students applied their knowledge of cubes, rectangular prisms, cylinders, and cones to design and build architectural creations.
With the freedom to work individually or in groups, students unleashed their creativity. They measured dimensions, calculated volumes, and brought their designs to life, resulting in various castles.
The project emphasized hands-on learning, bridging theoretical math concepts with practical applications.
Great job to our students and their teacher, Ms. Miranda Cote!
