Weekly Update of Lansing High School Students Enrolled in KCKCC Pioneer Classes - Culinary and Construction
Lansing USD 469 is proud to highlight our Lansing High School students and graduates enrolled in Kansas City Kansas Community Center Pioneer Career Center (KCKCC PCC) each week.
This week's update covers Culinary and Construction.
Culinary - Smoked Bacon and Sausage
The Culinary students learned how to smoke bacon and sausage. They also learned how to slice and package these smoked items to freeze for future use

Culinary - Sushi
Culinary students made a variety of sushi rolls. Some types of sushi they made were:
- Nigiri--Type of fish served on top of sushi rice
- Maki--Rice and filling wrapped in seaweed
- Uramaki--Rice is on the outside and seaweed wraps around the filling

Culinary - Fried Rice
Culinary students prepared fried rice. The students cooked and combined seafood, eggs, rice and various vegetables in a wok

Renovation Room
Construction students hung the new white boards in our renovated room. This room will be used for HOT classes where students are zoomed into classes at main campus with the up-to-date technology that will be completed next. This room will also be used for meetings and community events.
