Attention Lansing Students, Grades 6 - 12: Leavenworth County Commission Holding Leavenworth County Logo Design Contest!
The Leavenworth County Commission invites local students, grades 6th - 12th, to create a logo illustrating what they think represents LEAVENWORTH COUNTY! The winning logo will be placed on one side of a "Challenge Coin" presented to deserving citizens and employees who have gone above and beyond. The coin will be a gesture of appreciation and gratitude for their service. The opposite side of the coin will have the County Courthouse emblem with the state motto printed on it.
Each district in Leavenworth County will present its top three drawings to the County Commissioners. The Commissioners will pick one favorite from each school district they represent. The County Commissioners will then vote on those drawings as the winner whose design will be on the challenge coin. The winner, along with the runners-up, will receive a prize.
Please submit the design to the front office of your student's school by 4 pm on Monday, February 28th to the attention of Sharon Burns. You can also email a PDF of the artwork to sharon.burns@usd469.net.
We are looking forward to seeing all of the imaginative ideas for this exciting project!
