Lansing High School Students and Graduates Enrolled in KCKCC Culinary Class Prepare Meals for United Way Event Winners
Lansing High School graduates Justyce Hulett, Noah Starman, Morgan Belardo, Samantha Braswell and current student Sean Muzzy recently prepared a carry-out meal for winners of a United Way event in December. At the event, two carry-out meals for four were donated by the Kansas City Kansas Community College Culinary Program. One of the winners cashed in their certificate this week, and our Lansing culinary students prepared the meals for delivery. The first carry-out meal was vegetable soup topped with crispy onions, chicken wellington, duchess potatoes, buttery asparagus with parmesan cheese, and chocolate ganache cake.
As a reminder, KCKCC Pioneer Career Center offers the following TEC programs to high school students in the area (Leavenworth, Lansing, Tonganoxie, Pleasant Ridge):
- Construction
- Culinary
- Electrical
- HVAC
They also offer CNA, criminal justice classes, cybersecurity, and regular academic classes for high school students.
We regularly feature our Lansing High School students enrolled in these programs via this website, so watch for updates!
