Launch the media gallery 1 playerLansing Educational Foundation (LEF) is thrilled to be kicking off their 2020 Annual Campaign in hopes of raising money for the Lansing School District.
Lansing Educational Foundation has been serving Lansing students and teachers from grades Pre-K through 12 since 2004. Since then, we have funded over $330,000 in grants to our district. This year alone, we have approved close to $50,000 in grants, which includes:
- $2,500 to help cover the start-up costs of the new Lansing USD 469 Preschool
- $3,000 to purchase Social Emotional Learning curriculum for our elementary and intermediate students
- $5,000 towards purchasing supplies for the new Robotics class at Lansing High School

We are also so very excited to be partnering with the nationally recognized Coterie Theatre out of Kansas City to offer Classroom Immersions for our students from grades 1 – 12. Since our students aren’t able to attend field trips or have outside speakers this year, Coterie Theatre artists are Zooming into the classrooms to allow our students to create characters, experience theatre, and write their own stories to share with others. Like many other nonprofits across our country, Lansing Educational Foundation has been hit hard by the national pandemic. We had to cancel our District Art showcase and Honors Breakfast last spring. We unfortunately were also forced to cancel our largest fundraiser, our bi-annual gala, this fall.
It is our hope that our donors will help carry us through this year by donating to our Annual Campaign. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will allow us to continue to fund grants for the students and teachers in our Lansing School District next year and beyond.
