Lansing Middle School Sixth Graders Learn Concept of Learning Boxes
Mr. Riggs and Mrs. Finn combined forces to deliver the concept of learning boxes to their literature classes. The learning boxes have been developed using the information from the IXL diagnostic test that was given this fall and include a variety of skills we would like the students to fine-tune to be successful in 6th grade. These skills include literary devices, writing, Greek and Latin roots, figurative language, grammar and mechanics, and vocabulary development. These boxes allow the students to develop their skills while helping peers develop concepts as they work together to complete the task in each box.
