Lansing USD 469 is proud to recognize Dee Wiley as the district’s 2026 Secondary Teacher of the Year.
Dee serves as a math teacher at Lansing Middle School and is known for her strong instructional practices and her ability to help students build confidence and success in mathematics. Her work has led to measurable growth in student learning, particularly among those who may struggle in the subject.
In addition to her classroom impact, Dee is a leader within the school and across the district. She supports colleagues through mentorship, contributes to district-wide math initiatives, and plays an active role in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
This year, Dee stepped into a full-time classroom teaching role to support students and staff during a teacher’s absence. Her willingness to take on this responsibility and her ability to deliver high-quality instruction demonstrates her flexibility, expertise, and commitment to students.
Dee will be recognized at the Lansing Educational Foundation (LEF) Honors Breakfast on May 1 and will receive a $250 grant from LEF, along with four complimentary tickets to the event.
