Activities
Lansing Middle School offers a variety of extracurricular activities that encourage students to explore their interests, build friendships, develop leadership skills, and get involved in the school community. From fine arts and academic clubs to student leadership and school spirit organizations, there are opportunities for every student to connect, grow, and shine beyond the classroom. Students can participate in activities including Art, Band, Cheerleading, Choir, Drama Club, Kindness Club, Math Club, Newspaper, Peer Leadership, Pep Club, Puzzle Club, Science Club, Student Council, and Yearbook.

The Lansing Middle School Library provides students with access to a wide variety of books, digital resources, research tools, and educational materials that support literacy, creativity, and lifelong learning. Through the online library catalog, students and families can explore available books, search for resources, and access digital reading materials to support classroom learning and personal interests. The library encourages a love of reading while helping students develop important research and information literacy skills.

Registation & Enrollment
Welcome to Lansing USD 469! Our Registration and Enrollment page provides families with the information and resources needed to enroll new or returning students in our district. Families can access online enrollment through Skyward Family Access, review required enrollment documents, find immunization and residency requirements, and explore information for kindergarten, nonresident, special education, and part-time enrollment. Lansing USD 469 is committed to making the enrollment process as smooth and supportive as possible as we welcome students and families into our school community.

Lansing USD 469 is committed to maintaining safe, supportive learning environments for all students while using positive behavior supports, prevention strategies, and de-escalation techniques whenever possible. Emergency Safety Interventions (ESI), which may include seclusion or restraint, are used only in situations where a student presents an immediate danger of physical harm to themselves or others and when less restrictive interventions have been ineffective. This page provides families with information regarding district policies, parent rights, required documentation procedures, and additional Kansas State Department of Education resources related to Emergency Safety Interventions.

KSDE Building Report Card
The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Building Report Card provides families and community members with important information about school and district performance, including academic achievement, assessment results, graduation data, student demographics, attendance, and other accountability measures. This resource helps provide transparency and insight into how Lansing USD 469 schools are supporting student success and continuous improvement.

Lion's Pantry
The Lion’s Pantry was created to support Lansing Middle School families by helping provide access to food for students in need. Our goal is to ensure every student has the support they need to feel cared for, confident, and ready to learn each day. The pantry operates with compassion, respect, and confidentiality while strengthening connections within the LMS community. Families needing assistance or wanting more information are encouraged to contact the LMS office.

LMS Site Council
The Lansing Middle School Site Council is a collaborative advisory group made up of parents, staff members, and community representatives who work together to support student success and school improvement efforts. Site Council members provide feedback and guidance on building goals, family engagement, school programs, and initiatives that help strengthen the school community. Families are encouraged to learn more about the Site Council, meeting opportunities, and ways to get involved in supporting Lansing Middle School.

Mental Health Services
Lansing USD 469 is committed to supporting the mental, emotional, and social well-being of all students. Our Mental Health Services page provides information about available school-based supports, community partnerships, counseling resources, crisis support options, and programs designed to help students navigate challenges and build healthy coping skills.
