Academic Achievement on the Rise at Lansing Middle School

Lansing Middle School students showed strong academic progress during the first semester, with more than 70% earning a spot on one of the school’s honor rolls.

A total of 413 students (70.6%) achieved honor roll status this semester, marking an overall increase of 6.3% compared to last year. The number of students earning Lion Honor Roll recognition, reserved for students with all A’s, rose to 116 students, up from 95 last year. The Red Honor Roll (3.5–3.99 GPA) also saw growth, increasing to 175 students, compared to 150 during the same semester last year.

While the White Honor Roll (3.0–3.49 GPA) saw a slight decrease to 122 students, the overall data reflects meaningful academic gains across the building.

Principal Brooks Jenkins praised the collective effort behind the success, noting, "great things are happening with grades and I appreciate everyone's effort to make it happen!"
