Lansing USD 469 is honored to recognize Theresa Jones as our October Staff Member of the Month.
Theresa has gone above and beyond in her work this school year, taking on a large caseload while still finding time to support her colleagues and mentor others through the district’s Teaching Apprenticeship Program.
Her nomination reads:
“She has taken on a huge caseload of students this year, supporting students in every grade and has been doing a phenomenal job. Not only this, but she has been my mentor through the teaching apprenticeship program and spends her free periods teaching me everything I know now about working in SPED. Despite being incredibly busy with one of the hardest and most important jobs in the district, Theresa has been so helpful and the best support I could have asked for in a mentor.”
Although Theresa was unable to attend the Board of Education meeting, she was recognized by Superintendent Kobza for her dedication, leadership, and compassion. Her hard work and mentorship make a lasting impact on both students and staff.
