We’re excited to shine the next spotlight on Mrs. Sheri Muzzy, one of our Interrelated Special Education Teachers at Lansing Middle School!
Mrs. Muzzy was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, the hometown of legendary actor Jimmy Stewart, but she spent much of her life moving with the military. She describes herself as a “nomad at heart,” with a love for adventure and new experiences.
Her educational journey is just as impressive. Mrs. Muzzy earned her undergraduate degree from Christopher Newport University and a graduate degree from Old Dominion University, also known as the alma mater of Kansas City Royals player Vinnie Pasquantino. She later attended Pittsburg State University to earn her teaching credentials.
Family is at the center of Mrs. Muzzy’s world. She has been married for 29 years and is the proud mom of nine children, six who have already left home and three still living there.
When she’s not at school, Mrs. Muzzy enjoys traveling, kayaking, hiking, paper crafting, and scrapbooking. She also loves binge-watching Netflix shows and rewatching old favorites like the classic Alfred Hitchcock TV series. And here’s a fun fact: she even appears in a TikTok video with Chiefs center Creed Humphrey!
This year, Mrs. Muzzy is especially excited to be back at Lansing Middle School, where she looks forward to watching the 6th-grade class grow and thrive.
We’re thrilled to have Mrs. Muzzy as part of our LMS family. Her passion for students, sense of humor, and wealth of experience make her an invaluable member of our team!
