Lansing Middle School’s Sound FX, the auditioned 7th and 8th grade choir, recently competed in the Worlds of Fun Festival of Music and brought home some major recognition.
The group received a 1 Rating – Superior, which is the highest rating possible. Choir teacher Josiah Ketterman shared, “This rating reflects the finest conceivable performance for the event and class of participants being evaluated. Their performance is worthy of distinction of being recognized as among the very best.”
In addition to the superior rating, Sound FX placed 1st overall in their division. Schools from several surrounding states take part in this competition, making this a significant accomplishment and a real reflection of the students’ talent and hard work.
Last year, this same group earned 2nd place, so this year’s performance marks continued growth and dedication.
