We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for this afternoon, as strong storms are currently predicted to move into our area around dismissal time.

We do not plan to release school early. For many of our students, school is the safest place to be during severe weather due to our access to designated shelter areas. We are also mindful that an early release could result in some students being home alone when storms arrive.

Our team is working closely with transportation and emergency management to ensure student safety. If severe weather is impacting our area at dismissal:

Bus routes may be delayed.
Students will remain inside the building and will not be loaded onto buses during dangerous conditions such as lightning or hail.
Staff will remain with students until it is safe to dismiss.

If delays are necessary, we will communicate updates as quickly as possible.

As always, parents and guardians may choose to pick up their child early if they feel more comfortable doing so; these absences will be excused.
