Lansing USD469 is excited to share an update on the Teammates Mentoring Program, an initiative focused on building meaningful relationships and supporting student growth. Since launching at Lansing Intermediate School last year, the program has been incredibly successful. The positive connections formed between mentors and students have made a difference, and we are grateful to the community members who have stepped forward to serve.

The Teammates Mentoring Program matches students with adult mentors who commit to meeting with them regularly, providing guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear. Over the past year, we have seen these mentoring relationships help strengthen students’ confidence, school engagement, and overall success.

We Need You!
As the program continues to grow, Lansing USD469 is looking for additional mentors to meet the needs of more students. If you have a heart for supporting young learners and can commit to regular mentorship sessions, we encourage you to apply. Every mentor helps expand the reach of this program and ensures more students can benefit from a steady, supportive adult presence.

The application process is designed to support a safe and effective mentoring experience for everyone involved. It includes an online application, background checks, and training for all volunteers.
