Fifth grade students at Lansing Intermediate School recently enhanced their studies of animal habitats, adaptations, and the history of wildlife painting with a visit to a special exhibit at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. The experience provided a dynamic blend of science and art, deepening their understanding through real-world connections.
In addition to exploring the exhibit, students viewed several of the museum’s most iconic works, including The Thinker by Auguste Rodin and the four monumental shuttlecocks by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, which have been a centerpiece of the museum’s Kansas City Sculpture Park since 1994.
