Lansing High School Announces April Coaches Club Athletes of the Month

Lansing High School is proud to recognize its April Coaches Club Athletes of the Month, honoring student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional performance, dedication, and competitive success.

Each month, in-season head coaches nominate athletes who have had standout performances. The nominations are then reviewed and voted on by the high school coaching staff to determine the monthly honorees.

For April, Lansing High School proudly recognizes Gracelyn Collins and Reece Mattingly for their outstanding accomplishments.

Gracelyn Collins, Softball
Gracelyn had an outstanding April both at the plate and in the circle. She posted a .430 batting average and reached a major milestone by recording her 300th career strikeout as a Lansing Lion against Spring Hill on April 30. Over the month, she earned four wins across seven starts, totaling 60 strikeouts with an impressive 1.861 ERA.

Reece Mattingly, Baseball
Reece delivered a dominant month offensively and on the mound for the Lions. He is currently batting .600 with a .730 on-base percentage, along with 5 doubles, 2 triples, and 5 home runs. He also contributed 26 RBIs and has compiled a 2-1 pitching record with a 2.42 ERA this season.

Both student-athletes have demonstrated tremendous dedication, leadership, and performance representing Lansing High School this spring.
