Lansing Coach Competes on National Stage at 2026 U.S. Wrestling Open

Lansing students are used to seeing Coach Lohman in their corner by encouraging, guiding, and pushing them to be their best. This week, the roles are reversed.

Coach Lohman will step onto one of the biggest stages in the country as he competes in the 2026 U.S. Wrestling Open in Las Vegas. Facing top competitors from across the nation in his age division, Lohman represents not only his own dedication to the sport, but also the mindset he instills in the students he coaches every day.

His participation is a powerful reminder that growth doesn’t stop after high school or college athletics. The pursuit of goals, the discipline to prepare, and the courage to compete can last a lifetime.

For Lansing student-athletes, seeing a coach continue to chase big dreams sends a clear message: commitment and passion don’t have an expiration date.

Lansing High School Head Wrestling Coach Paul Hansen shared his support ahead of the competition:

“Good luck to Coach Lohman as he competes in the 2026 U.S. Wrestling Open in Las Vegas tomorrow. Wrestling starts at 12:00 PM our time (10:00 AM PT). Watch live on FloWrestling.org.
You’re always in our corner. Now we’re in yours.

The Lansing community is cheering him on as competition begins at 12:00 PM (CT), with matches streamed live on FloWrestling.
