Glenn Rosario, CTE Teacher- Industrial Technology
Question: How long have you worked in Lansing USD469?
Answer: This is my 9th year in the Lansing USD469.
Question: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and the role you have within the school district?
Answer: This is my 39th year of teaching CTE. I also sponsor the ACE Mentor program
Question: What do you enjoy most about your role and the work you do in the school district?
Answer: I enjoy working with the students. The community and administration are extremely supportive and have provided me with the resources necessary to be successful.
Question: When you're not working, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy?
Answer: Spending time with my family, traveling abroad, visiting structures and site of Architectural significance, and obviously woodworking.
Question: What is something unusual about you that most people don't know?
Answer: I coached high school wrestling for 25 years and officiated college wrestling for 10 years.
Question: Could you share a particularly heartwarming or memorable experience you've had while working with students or colleagues?
Answer: The true reward in teaching comes from seeing student success years after they leave your class. I recently met with a former Architecture student who is an Architect / project manager for a firm in Nashville. Seeing her succeed is the greatest reward.
Question: What piece of advice would you like to offer to students to help them succeed and make the most of their educational journey?
Answer: I always tell my students that education never stops. You should always seek out new ways to challenge your comfort zone to be the best version of yourself that you can be.
