Special Olympics

Lansing Middle School and Lansing High School students showcased their teamwork, sportsmanship, and school pride at the Unified Basketball Tournament held at Gardner Edgerton High School on Saturday, October 18th. Competing against area schools, both Lansing teams demonstrated outstanding effort and camaraderie throughout the day earning silver medals in their divisions!

A heartfelt congratulations to our student-athletes for their hard work and enthusiasm on the court! Unified Sports exemplify the spirit of inclusion, bringing together students with and without intellectual disabilities to train and compete as teammates.

A special thank you goes out to alums Keegan Cavinaw, Paytin Beaman, Mia Hairston, and Kaylee Arwine for serving as volunteer coaches. Their leadership and encouragement played a big role in creating such a positive experience for all participants.
