The Lansing High School Voltron Robotics Team is kicking off the school year with exciting support from Clearwave Fiber, who presented the team with a donation to continue advancing STEM opportunities for students.
Clearwave representatives joined school and community leaders at Lansing High School to present a check to Team 7064 and watch a demonstration from the students. The Voltron team is coming off its most successful season yet, finishing 11th overall and reaching the Regional Finals at the Greater Kansas City Regional.
“We are grateful for the donation to kick off the school year by supporting STEM education and future innovators,” said Anne Krebs, robotics club sponsor. “We appreciate Clearwave Fiber being an excellent community partner.”
Clearwave Fiber Senior Vice President of Marketing Shelley Hallier noted the company’s commitment to investing in local communities. “We’re proud to partner in the community and enhance the way residents and businesses connect right here in Lansing, as well as invest in the next generation of problem-solvers and tech leaders,” Hallier said.
In addition to their financial donation, Clearwave Fiber has pledged ongoing support through a community program: parents and supporters of the robotics team can receive a $150 gift card when signing up for new residential service, and Clearwave will contribute an additional $50 to the robotics team for every new customer who uses the code LHSrobot.
Clearwave Fiber continues to expand high-speed Fiber Internet service across Kansas, reaching thousands of homes and businesses. Their investment in the Lansing community reflects their dedication to supporting both economic growth and student opportunities.
The Lansing School District extends its appreciation to Clearwave Fiber for their partnership and commitment to student success.
