Thank you to everyone who gave during the holiday season to one or both of our two district pantries of clothing or food through donations or volunteering. REMINDER: Don't miss the LINCS Holiday Craft Sale today and tomorrow!
The LINCS team has been hard at work preparing for their highly anticipated craft show since late September. This event is a team effort, with eight students and five staff members dedicating their time and creativity to make it happen.
For the past 17 years, LINCS has hosted annual—and occasionally bi-annual—craft shows, bringing our community together in celebration of creativity and collaboration. This year’s craft show will be open to both the district and the public on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., as well as Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The group continues to operate thanks to generous donations and proceeds from LINCs craft and bakery sales. These funds directly support our student activities and future LINCS events.
LINCS (Learning Independence in Natural Community Settings) is a special education program located in Lansing Intermediate School, designed for young adults aged 18-21 who have met their high school graduation requirements but are working to complete their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. The program focuses on helping students reach their maximum potential for independence by teaching life skills such as money management, self-care, cooking, vocational training, and community participation. Through collaboration with families, local businesses, and community agencies, LINCS empowers students to become responsible, informed, and productive citizens.

🎄🎁 Spread holiday cheer with the Lansing Angel Tree! 🎁🎄
Join us in making this season special for families in our community. The Lansing Angel Tree is located at Lansing Middle School and is accepting donations through December 13, 2024.

Lansing USD 469 is inviting community members to share their perspectives through a brief phone survey designed to gather feedback on the district’s strengths, challenges, and priorities for the future.
The survey, designed by Kansas City-based research firm ExcellenceK12, will be conducted by Market Research Associates, a professional firm with extensive experience working with school districts. Calls will be made randomly to ensure a cross-section of perspectives, and all responses will remain completely confidential.
To make it easier for families to participate, calls will occur during convenient hours: 7 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and noon to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. If you receive a call, your caller ID might display “Market Research Associates” or an 816/913 area code, as calls will be placed from Missouri and Kansas locations.
For those not contacted by phone, an online version of the survey will also be available on the district website.
The survey process is expected to take approximately two weeks, and the district encourages everyone to participate.
Your input will guide us as we continue to strive for excellence in Lansing USD 469!
