Congratulations to Lansing Elementary School Behavior Intervention Support Aide Courtney Starman for being recognized as the Lansing USD 469 September 2026 Classified Staff Member of the month during the September board meeting.

Ms. Starman was selected by Lansing Elementary School as its classified staff honoree as part of the district’s new Board of Education recognition process.

Her nomination describes the significant impact she has made on the LES community.

“Ms. Starman has truly been a ‘star’ for our LES Lions team. Her willingness to support all students and staff has been an integral part of our early school year success.”

Ms. Starman was also recognized for the relationships she develops with students and the role she plays in helping them build important social and emotional skills.

“Her consistent and caring approach with developing student social and emotional skills has been impactful during her tenure here,” her nomination stated. “Ms. Starman meets our students where they are at and helps to lead them towards better decision making.”

Her nomination concluded by recognizing the teamwork and sense of belonging she brings to Lansing Elementary School.

“Ms. Starman has personified teamwork and has been hugely impactful to our Culture of Belonging pillar at Lansing Elementary School.”
