Dear Lansing Elementary School Staff and Families,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Lansing Elementary School. My name is Chad Eshbaugh, and I am honored to join this incredible school community. I look forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff as we work together to make Lansing Elementary a place where every child is known, valued, and empowered to succeed.
I am also very excited to introduce Ms. Jennifer Mains and Dr. Rebecca Dalton as administrators within our building. Ms. Mains served LES students and families last year as the assistant principal and previously as a classroom teacher bringing a wealth of knowledge of our students, staff and community here at LES. Dr. Rebecca Dalton is the Director of our Early Childhood program for USD 469 as well as serving as an assistant principal and special education coordinator in the building at LES. Dr. Dalton has been instrumental in developing and leading our early childhood programs here at Lansing over the past four years. Dr. Dalton’s input and knowledge will be invaluable to our students and staff as she transitions into her expanded role here at LES.
I believe that strong schools are built on meaningful relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to student success. As we begin this new school year together, our work will be grounded in three core pillars that will guide everything we do:
Intentional Instruction – Every lesson, every interaction, and every opportunity should have purpose. We are committed to providing engaging, high-quality instruction that challenges, supports, and inspires every learner.
Communication and Clarity – Open, honest, and consistent communication is essential to building trust and strong partnerships. Whether between school and home, among staff members, or with our students, we will strive to ensure expectations are clear and communication is timely, respectful, and meaningful.
A Culture of Belonging – Every student, family, and staff member deserves to feel seen, valued, respected, and supported. By building authentic relationships, demonstrating empathy, and extending grace, we create an environment where everyone can thrive. A culture of caring strengthens our school community and provides the foundation for both academic excellence and personal growth.
I value collaboration and believe our greatest successes come when educators, families, and the community work together in support of our students. I encourage you to stay engaged, ask questions, share ideas, and celebrate the many accomplishments that lie ahead.
I am incredibly excited about the future of Lansing Elementary School and the opportunities we have to learn, grow, and achieve together. Thank you for welcoming me into this outstanding community. I cannot wait to meet each of you and begin this journey together.
Here's to a fantastic school year filled with learning, growth, and P.R.I.D.E.!
Warm regards,
Chad Eshbaugh, Principal
Lansing Elementary School
