Family’s Act of Kindness Brightens Lansing Elementary School

A Lansing Elementary School family spent part of their weekend helping improve the school grounds.

Kindergarten teacher Leandra Walker shared that as a thunderstorm moved in, she arrived at Lansing Elementary School to find Stephen Didde and Shawna Morckel, a paraprofessional at the school, working outside with their three sons, two of whom attend LES. The family had brought shovels, plants, and a trailer full of mulch to update the front planter.

Despite the weather, they spent time planting flowers and refreshing the area near the school entrance.

Their efforts are a strong example of the care and commitment Lansing families show for their schools. Lansing Elementary School appreciates the Didde family’s willingness to give their time and make a positive impact on the campus!
