The Lansing School District is proud to recognize Jenny Nickelson as our Staff Member of the Month.
Jenny serves as the Elementary School Instructional Coach and was nominated by a colleague who highlighted the many ways she positively impacts Lansing Elementary School. Jenny is described as pleasant, positive, and kind, while also being incredibly dependable and efficient. She approaches her work with great care and attention to detail, ensuring that teachers and staff have the instructional resources they need to be successful.
In her role, Jenny supports both new teachers and experienced educators, providing coaching and guidance to help strengthen instructional practices. Her work behind the scenes and alongside teachers plays a key role in supporting student learning and classroom success.
Jenny is also an active member of the Professional Development Committee, Building Leadership Team, and District Leadership Team, where she shares her expertise, helps deliver meaningful professional learning, and serves as a trusted collaborator. Her nominator shared that Jenny is a wonderful teammate and someone who is always willing to talk through ideas and support others.
