Last week, our Lansing Elementary School kindergarten students took a walking field trip to Angel Falls. The trip gave them a chance to connect classroom learning to the real world through hands-on experiences with nature.
The students explored the area while learning more about plants and animals, directly supporting the standards and curriculum they’ve been working on in class. Along the way, they also picked up on other topics—like shapes and patterns—they’ve been learning about.
Kindergartener Jacob Fuller shared, “I really liked being outside and seeing shapes in the bridge because we talked about that in class.”
Quinn Seebeck added, “I liked going for a nature walk and walking down to the waterfall with my friends.”
It was a great day of learning, exploring, and enjoying the outdoors!
