Lansing Elementary School

Our Lansing Elementary School Gardening group, organized by parent and community member Lindsay Conklin and supported by Stephen Didde from Oak Creek Nursery and Landscape, Dale Verran (Cubmaster Pack 3165), and Pack 3165 members and families, and Lansing School District Staff, met on Saturday, August 10th, to provide some much-needed landscaping and beautification at Lansing Elementary School and Lansing Intermediate School.

"It was a great opportunity to work together," stated Jenny Nickelson (instructional coach at Lansing Elementary School).

This group worked for three hours pulling weeds, shoveling mulch, planting flowers, and picking up trash.

"We are excited to welcome students this next week to Lansing Elementary School and are grateful for our community support; our playgrounds and flowerbeds look great," stated Jennifer Kolb, principal of Lansing Elementary School. "This is the second year that our community has come together to prepare our flowerbeds for school, and we are so appreciative of all our volunteers."
