Student of the month with certificate and principal in board room

Congratulations to Lansing Elementary School first-grade student Gage Peck for being recognized as the Lansing USD 469 September 2026 Student of the Month during the September board meeting.

Gage was selected as Lansing Elementary School’s student honoree as part of the district’s new Board of Education recognition process.

“Gage is off to an exceptional start in Mrs. Leitsch’s first-grade classroom this year,” his nomination stated. “He has been an engaged student who has quickly embraced classroom rules and expectations!”

Those positive choices begin as soon as Gage walks through the classroom door.

“Gage comes into the classroom each day with a smile, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.”

His nomination also highlighted just how far he has come since last school year.

“Gage has demonstrated remarkable growth since kindergarten and is quickly becoming a leader within the room.”

Perhaps most importantly, Gage was recognized for the way he contributes to the community around him.

“Gage is one of many students throughout all grades who contributes daily to our positive culture here at LES!”

Congratulations, Gage! We are proud to have you representing Lansing Elementary School and showing what it means to be a Lansing Lion!
