Students enrolled in Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) courses through our district partnership are invited to attend the KCKCC Pioneer Career Center High School and New Student Orientation on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

The orientation is designed to help students prepare for a successful start to the semester by providing important information about KCKCC programs, campus resources, and course expectations. Students and families will have the opportunity to connect with college staff, meet instructors, and become familiar with the campus before classes begin.

What to Expect

During the event, students will be able to:

• Attend a KCKCC High School Partnership presentation (offered at 5:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.)

• Meet their instructors

• Pick up class schedules (students should bring a photo ID)

• Tour the campus

• Visit with representatives from KCKCC departments and student support services

This event is especially beneficial for students who are new to KCKCC coursework and want to learn more about the resources available to help them succeed in college-level classes.

Through our partnership with KCKCC, students have access to valuable opportunities to earn college credit, explore career pathways, and gain hands-on experience while still in high school. Attending orientation is a great way to become familiar with the college environment and start the year with confidence.
