Two Lansing High School alumni recently competed against one another on the collegiate softball stage during the MIAA Conference Tournament semifinal game.
Katie Gray, a 2022 Lansing High School graduate playing first base for Missouri Southern, faced off against 2025 Lansing graduate Addison Callaway of Emporia State, who appeared as a first base runner during the matchup.
Missouri Southern earned a 6-1 victory in the semifinal contest, with Gray making a major impact offensively by hitting a two-run home run for the Lions.
Seeing two Lansing alumni competing at a high level in postseason collegiate athletics is a proud moment for the Lansing community and a reflection of the strong tradition of student-athlete success that continues beyond high school!
