Drew Allen Named Educational Support Professional of the Year

Lansing USD 469 is proud to recognize Drew Allen, Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor, as one of the district’s 2026 Educational Support Professionals of the Year.

Drew plays a vital role in the daily operations of the district, ensuring that buildings are safe, functional, and ready to support student learning. Known for his reliability and strong leadership, Drew consistently goes above and beyond to meet the needs of staff and students across all buildings.

Colleagues describe Drew as someone who is always willing to step in and help, whether it’s addressing an urgent repair, coordinating large-scale event setups, or assisting staff outside of regular working hours. His positive attitude and problem-solving mindset make him a trusted resource throughout the district.

“Drew carries tremendous responsibility in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the district,” one nominator shared. “He approaches his work with integrity, professionalism, and a clear sense of pride in what he does.”

In addition to his technical expertise, Drew is known for the relationships he builds. He leads his team by example, remains open to learning, and works collaboratively to find solutions to the challenges that come with maintaining district facilities.

A Lansing alumnus, Drew takes great pride in serving the community where he grew up. His commitment, work ethic, and dedication to excellence make a lasting impact on the district each and every day.

Drew will be recognized at the Lansing Educational Foundation (LEF) Honors Breakfast on May 1 and will receive a $250 grant from LEF, along with four complimentary tickets to the event.
