Lansing USD 469 is proud to recognize Natalee Walter as the April 2026 Student of the Month for her outstanding leadership, character, and positive impact on younger students.
Natalee was nominated for her role as a Lion Leader, where she has made a meaningful difference by mentoring and supporting kindergarten students in an elementary classroom. Each morning, she arrives with a smile and a positive attitude, ready to engage and encourage young learners. She consistently takes initiative by helping students with their work, guiding them through challenges, and offering patience and kindness in every interaction.
As her nominating teacher shared:
“Natalee has served as a Lion Leader in my classroom since the beginning of the school year, consistently demonstrating the qualities of an exceptional role model and showing outstanding leadership by mentoring and guiding kindergarten students. Natalee arrives in my classroom each morning with a smile and a positive attitude ready to engage my students in an encouraging way… She jumps in eagerly, armed with kindness, patience, and a dash of charm… Her maturity and enthusiasm make her a natural leader and someone the students genuinely look up to and enjoy learning from.”
In addition to her work as a Lion Leader, Natalee is an active member of the National Honor Society and a dedicated cheerleader, reflecting her commitment to leadership both in school and in the community.
Her teacher also shared:
“Natalee's presence has made a tremendous impact on my young students. They look forward to seeing her and benefit greatly from the encouragement and support she provides. She exemplifies the very best qualities of a student leader, and I am grateful for the time and effort she has dedicated to our classroom.”
