In honor of the United States’ 250th anniversary, the Mutual Savings Association is offering an exciting scholarship opportunity for high school seniors in the Class of 2026. The Celebrating America’s 250 Scholarship will award a total of $25,000 in scholarships to deserving students.
One student will receive a $20,000 grand prize, and five additional students will each receive $1,000 scholarships.
To apply, students are asked to respond to the essay prompt:
“Why is the United States the BEST Country in History?”
Essays should be original and 1,000 words or less, reflecting on the ideas, freedoms, opportunities, and responsibilities that define our nation.

Winners Announced: May 2026
Grand Prize Essay Recognition: July 4, 2026
Eligibility Requirements:
High school seniors graduating in 2026
Planning to attend an accredited U.S. college, university, or trade school
