Lansing High School is excited to offer Driver Education for Summer 2026, with enrollment opening March 30 for current LHS students.
This program helps students build the knowledge and skills needed to become safe, responsible drivers. Students will have the opportunity to participate in classroom instruction, hands-on driving experience, and preparation for their Kansas driver’s license.
Families should note that participation requires attendance at a mandatory parent/student meeting on either April 20 or April 22 at 6:00 PM.
Students must also pass a Kansas Driver’s Handbook test in late May with a score of 80% or higher to remain in the course.
Two summer sessions are available:
June 1–19
July 6–24
Enrollment is first come, first served once payment is received, and space is limited.
To be eligible, students must be at least 14 years old by June 1, pass a vision screening, and submit a completed enrollment form with the $300 course fee.
More details, including the enrollment form and full program information, are available on the Driver Education webpage.
