Lansing High School Senior Jadyn Bollin Named Board of Education Student of the Month

Lansing High School senior Jadyn Bollin has been recognized as the Lansing USD 469 Board of Education March Student of the Month, an honor that celebrates students who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and dedication to their school and community.

Jadyn was nominated by one of her peers, who described her as someone who consistently supports others and brings positivity to everything she does.

"She helps the school in numerous ways and is one of the kindest people I know. She attacks every situation with a positive mindset and goes above and beyond in everything she does," the nominator shared. "I truly believe that this school would not run the same without her, and I know she is invaluable to all the other activities that she does. Jadyn is the epitome of a student who deserves to be recognized."

Jadyn’s academic accomplishments reflect her commitment to excellence. She is on the Principal Honor Roll, earned the Silver Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, and has been recognized as an AP Scholar with Honor. She plans to retake the biliteracy assessment this spring in pursuit of the Gold Seal of Biliteracy.

In addition to her strong academic performance, Jadyn is deeply involved in leadership and activities at Lansing High School. She serves on the Kansas State High School Activities Association Student Advisory Team and is the captain of the Lansing High School cheerleading team. In 2025, she was named a UCA All American and received the UCA Pin It Forward Award. Jadyn also participates in powerlifting.

Her leadership extends into numerous student organizations. Jadyn is the president of Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, the Spanish Honor Society, and is a member of both the National Honor Society and the National English Honor Society. She also serves as secretary for Student Council, secretary for Kansas Association for Youth (KAYs), and secretary of Puzzle Club, a student organization dedicated to promoting inclusion and acceptance.

Outside of school, Jadyn is highly active in 4-H, where she serves as president of the Boling 4-H Club and president of the Leavenworth County 4-H Youth Council. Through her involvement, she has earned the 4-H Key Award, the 4-H Gold Guard Pin, and served as a Citizenship Washington Focus delegate. Her commitment to service was also recognized when she was named the Leavenworth Lansing Chamber of Commerce Junior Citizen of the Year.

After graduation, Jadyn plans to attend Oklahoma State University, where she will study Architectural Engineering. She has been selected as both a McKnight Leader Scholar and a College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology Scholar, and has been accepted into the university’s Living Learning Program and Freshman Research Scholars Program.
