KASB Leadership for Tomorrow, Class of 2026 - Jackie Kennedy

Lansing USD 469 Board of Education member Jackie Kennedy has been selected to participate in the Kansas Association of School Boards (KASB) Leadership for Tomorrow (LFT) Class of 2026.

Kennedy was elected to the Lansing Board of Education in November 2025 and began serving her term in January.

The KASB Leadership for Tomorrow program is a competitive, application-based experience focused on strengthening leadership in Kansas public education. Participants are selected based on demonstrated leadership and involvement in activities that promote effective governance and raise student achievement.

Throughout five two-day sessions held across the state, participants will:

  • Explore change theories and leadership strategies

  • Engage in leadership skill development

  • Visit local schools and hear classroom presentations

  • Participate in in-depth discussions about issues and challenges facing Kansas education

The program is designed to equip board members, superintendents, and administrators with the knowledge and skills needed to lead effectively in today’s educational environment.

At the conclusion of the program, participants walk away with expanded insight, strengthened leadership capacity, and a deeper understanding of the policies and practices that support student success.

Mrs. Kennedy joins an accomplished group of educational leaders from across Kansas in the Class of 2026, including superintendents, board members, and district leaders representing school systems statewide.
