January is Board Appreciation Month, a time to recognize and thank the dedicated individuals who serve our students, staff, and community through their leadership on the Lansing USD 469 Board of Education. We are pleased to highlight Ms. Jackie Kennedy, who was elected to the Board of Education in November 2025.

About Jackie Kennedy
Jackie and her husband have been proud Lansing residents for more than 20 years. They are the parents of two children who are graduates of Lansing schools, and their family’s long-standing connection to the district continues to shape her commitment to public education.

Professional & Community Service
Jackie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Appalachian State University and a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Substance Abuse Counseling from East Carolina University. Her education and professional experience have reinforced her dedication to lifelong learning, effective communication, and responsible stewardship of district resources.

She brings a strong history of service to the Lansing community, volunteering her time in support of schools, youth activities, and local initiatives. Jackie values open communication, inclusive decision-making, and collaborative partnerships that help meet the needs of all learners.

Jackie is proud to serve on the Board of Education and to support the students, families, and educators who make Lansing USD 469 strong. She believes in thoughtful, collaborative leadership that keeps students at the center of every decision.
