Board of Education Appreciation

January is Board Appreciation Month, a time to recognize and thank the dedicated individuals who serve our students, staff, and community through their leadership on the Lansing USD 469 Board of Education. We are proud to highlight Mr. Jeff Bollin, who currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Education.

About Jeff Bollin
Mr. Bollin is a lifelong resident of Leavenworth County and has lived within the Lansing School District for the past seven years. His wife, Amber, is a proud Lansing graduate and is currently employed at the Lansing District Office. Together, they have two children who both attend Lansing High School.

Professional & Community Service
Mr. Bollin graduated from Pleasant Ridge High School in 2000 and from North Central Kansas Technical College (NCKTC) in 2001. He has spent the last 25 years working in heavy highway construction, beginning his career as a union heavy equipment operator for 15 years before advancing to Project Superintendent for seven years. He currently serves as a Project Manager.

His commitment to service extends well beyond his profession. Mr. Bollin was a member of the Kickapoo Township Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years and served as the department’s Treasurer for 10 of those years. He is also actively involved in 4-H, volunteering as an adult representative for the Leavenworth County Youth Council and serving as the adult Treasurer.

Board Service & Leadership
Mr. Bollin is currently serving his second term on the Lansing School Board, which began at the January 12, 2026, Board of Education meeting. During his first term, he served as Vice President for one year and President for two years, bringing experience and continuity to his current role as Vice President.

Why He Serves
“I am serving on the board to make the Lansing students the number one priority. My goal is to help make Lansing the district that everyone looks up to, ensuring student success and community pride.”
