Lindsey Ronco, 4th-Grade Paraprofessional

Question: How long have you worked in Lansing USD469?

Answer:  This is my first year

Question: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and the role you have within the school district?

Answer: This is my first year at LIS as a 4th grade para. My role as a para is to help guide and support our 4th grade SPED students throughout their daily classes and curriculum.

Question: What do you enjoy most about your role and the work you do in the school district?

Answer: What I enjoy about being a paraprofessional is building the strong relationships not only with the kids but also with the teachers and staff. Seeing a student “get it” and build that confidence, working through a concept and helping get through those hard times is the best reward.

Question: When you're not working, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy?

Answer: When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters and husband. I also enjoy outdoor activities, baking, and reading a good book. My family and I just moved here over the summer and have enjoyed exploring the area.

Question: What is something unusual about you that most people don't know?

Answer: I’m from Colorado, and I love snowboarding. Being in the mountains makes me feel alive. I’ve also been a military wife for eleven years, which has taught me patience, courage, and how to adapt to new challenges.

Question: Could you share a particularly heartwarming or memorable experience you've had while working with students or colleagues?

Answer: Everyday is a heartwarming and memorable moment!!!!

Question: What piece of advice would you like to offer to students to help them succeed and make the most of their educational journey?

Answer: Each of you are smart, capable, and full of potential. Always believe in yourself, keep learning, and make this your best year yet!!
